Ever hear of a mansard roof? There is a house with a mansard roof in Pretty City Murder. The railing on the eighth roof is a widow’s walk. No lady is made a widow in the novel. Did I give something away? I see triangles, squares, rectangles, trapezoids, circles, half-octagons, and parabolas in these designs.
