How many ways can you cut a rectangular board into four equal parts? Assume the board is a 2x4 or any similar measurement. Alexander was given the problem. You can build a hanging planter with nothing but 2x4s, a pallet, and one of my designs.
The drawing I wanted Alexander to see was the “top right” one because with that one he could see that by halving rectangles again and again, one gets more and more of them.
