The SPLC has spent a lot of time investigating various Catholic groups, including the SSPX, and placing them on their hate group list for giving talks and writing books. As far as I could determine, none of the groups investigated are committing crimes.
I checked their website, entered Catholic in the search box, and found what I was looking for. However, I started scanning, which is what I do when accusations are ludicrous. Most had to do with anti-Semitism. Catholics today are not anti-Semitic. That would be a sin, and anyone can go to a priest for confession, even a non-Catholic, even someone from the SPLC. The SPLC is a 501(c)(3), and I question whether its actions are limited to things southern, or poor, or lawful. Update: Thomas Jurgens, 28, a staff attorney at the SPLC, was among the 23 people arrested for what police called a “coordinated attack”. Following the arrest, Jurgens’ LinkedIn page was deleted. See the 3/7/2023 entry in the Crime Blog.
