![]() Painting of Aldous Huxley (32) Artist: John Collier (1850-1934) Source: The Graphic (British newspaper), May 7, 1927, p. 228. This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 70 years or fewer. After listening to Aldous Huxley, and knowing that he killed himself, finally deciding that the horrendous suffering caused by advanced laryngeal cancer was too much to bear, I cannot but have sorrow. I do not approve of assisted suicide, but some people judge people who commit suicide. I do not. Instead, I pray for those I love that God Himself will take care of, and reward, them for their efforts.

It is one thing to have understanding why a person ends her own life deliberately, to forgive and appeal to God's mercy, and another to indulge in a "culture of death" (© St. John Paul II.) and become enthusiastic about assisted suicide and "euthanasia" (by the way, the Nazis were also very fond of euthanasia, tell this our lefty and antifa fans of that practice!).

As usual, you hit the ball out of the ballpark. I dealt with suicide ideation as a patrol officer. In 90% of the incidents, I called 9-1-1, and I sat on a federal jury in a case where a man was falsely defamed and suicidal. We gave him a big award, and the defamer could not be found.
