Rorate Mass 2014. A Rorate is said before the sun rises. A priest can say Mass anywhere, on a flat rock or pile of snow if necessary, and at any time, and in darkness. All the sacred vessels in the Mass are gold or silver. After all, they touch the body and blood of Our Lord, which is why the priest washes his hands. At what was supposed to be the Passover, bread and wine were present, and Jesus ate and drank the altered elements as He celebrated His first Mass, the Last Supper. The priest repeats the Epistle and Gospel in French because this is French Switzerland. The camera in the sanctuary gives a clear view. Maybe late November or early December, maybe 6AM, because I hear steeple bells ring. At the end he says ecce, Latin for behold.
