The Catholic hierarchy and vast numbers of Catholics have been overtaken by modern notions of sexuality and sexual identity. This runs completely counter to the Catholic understanding of vocation. There are three: married life, religious life, and single life. You fit into one of those callings.

Over time, and this took time, I dropped Freud as a helpful way to understand people. All of it caused us to become obsessed with sex. The law of attraction is always at play. God gave us that. However, unless you are in love with someone, you need to let it die.

People misjudge me a lot. This comes about because they are narcissists and think too highly of themselves.
